Debbie Breivik
I have been quilting (or should I say piecing) for about 15 years. I love using batiks and bright, contrasting colors in my quilts. I have been a member of the Utah Quilt Guild for 6 years when I was "shamed" into joining by a very dear friend and mentor. I just bought a longarm and am looking forward to learning that part of quilting. I have learned so much and have met so many amazing people in the quilting world. I am currently serving as the Secretary of the Utah Quilt Guild and I'm looking forward to learning lots more about this amazing art form and the people that create it.
Barbara Walsh
Barbara Walsh is a longtime quilter and has been an active part of quilting in Utah. She has served in many Utah Quilt Guild positions including President and currently serves on the Quilt Fest committee. While her quilts have won many awards it is the joy of making them that is important to her. “I love being surrounded by color and quilts.” Barbara has taught for quilt-making for many years in Utah and the surrounding states. She served as an instructor as part of UQG’s quilt judging program. Her areas of expertise are piecing , machine embroidery and machine embroidered appliqué. “The Springville show is always one of the best and the quality of the work is excellent. I am honored to be judging it again.”
