The Springville Museum of Art is committed to providing accessible experiences for its visitors.
Wheelchairs and Strollers:
The Museum is ADA accessible with the exception of the Swanson Gallery.* We have an elevator to enable ease of access to the upper and lower levels, including the restrooms. We also have a wheelchair for patrons to use - please ask at the east desk upon arrival.
*Virtual facetime tours of the Swanson Gallery can be arranged with advanced notice. To arrange for a virtual tour option please contact our tour coordinator at 801-491-5700 for more information.
We have the following complimentary tools and resources available for check out at the front desk:
- Switch Sticks - walking sticks with seat
- Weighted shoulder pads
- Pencil grips
- Noise-reducing earmuffs
Accessible parking is available in the Museum’s east parking lot. Visitors may also be dropped off at the east doors. Ramps lead to the front doors. Elevators make each floor accessible.
Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome at the Museum.
Wheelchair accessible men and women’s restrooms are available on the lower level. All visitors are invited to use the bathroom of their choice.
The Museum aims to provide its visitors with disabilities equal access to its facilities, programs, services and activities.
For guests who would like an ASL language interpreter:
Interpreters can be made available for all school field trips and school programs (including Evening for Educators and all programming related to the All-State High School Art Show) and for most other events and programs.
For guests who are blind or have low vision:
We are in the process of developing a tactile guided tour option.
For guests who speak languages other than English:
We are working towards having more exhibition and education materials available in Spanish. Please contact us if you have a request for another language.
For all questions and accommodation requests please contact our accessibility coordinator Leslie Gleaves at Lgleaves@springville.org or 801-491-5715. We want to make your visit to the Museum as successful as possible.
