Request for Proposals - It's All Fun and Games

Springville Museum of Art and co-curator Bianca Velazquez seek proposals for an upcoming exhibition It's All Fun and Games at the Springville Museum of Art. 

It's All Fun and Games  is a unique and whimsical interactive art experience that will celebrate the essence of pre-smartphone nostalgia and childlike play. In a world increasingly dominated by digital technology, this exhibit aims to transport visitors back to a simpler time, when tangible objects and activities brought us joy and wonder. We are seeking artists to propose sculptural, installation, and 2D works that embody the spirit of nostalgia and playful exploration.

Eligibility: This project is open to all artists living in Utah or with Utah ties or connections.

Deadline: Proposals are due December 8, 2023 at 11:59pm. 

The exhibition will open August 28, 2024. Ready to hang or place artwork will need to be delivered to the Museum by August 5, 2024. Site-specific installations will need to be installed the week of August 12-16, 2024. The exhibition will be held on the second floor in the Blaine and Louise Clyde, Utah, and Fourplex galleries.
