Intern at the Springville Museum of Art

 
 
 
Interns are assigned to a specific department and may assist with the following:


Curatorial


• Curate & hang exhibitions
• Research artists & artwork
• Assist with collection inventory
• Maintain online collection gallery


Education


• Assist with tour development
• Develop, maintain & evaluate programming
• Create didactic materials
• Write curriculum
   

Operations 


• Create & manage social media
• Assist with marketing & publicity for exhibitions & programming
• Photograph/videograph events
• Write and edit press releases
   
 
 
 

Requirements 


Internship applicants must be able to commit to at least one semester (12 weeks) of service, and serve a minimum of 6 hours per week in their area of specialty. Prior to the start of internships, all accepted interns will be required to attend a general orientation meeting and obtain a background check.
 
Applicants should fill out an online Intern Application AND submit the following materials to bdahlin@springville.org :

1. Cover Letter
2. Resume with 3 professional/academic references
3. 1-2 page writing sample and/or design portfolio (if applicable)
