June 7, 2013 was a day of fun for all ages, filled with art making, entertainment, and delicious food! In conjunction with Springville's Art City Days celebration we invited families to attend the Children's Art Festival from 10 am - 2 pm on the Museum's front lawn. With over a dozen different art making experiences, a program of ongoing entertainment and storytelling, there was something for everyone at this event!
Art making booths included Paper Plate Hats, Fun with Letters, Sand Painting, Funky Flowers, Geometric Magic, Kites, Imagination Glasses, and more! Face Painting and Balloon Animals were also be available. SMA's Art Royalty sold food as a fundraiser for the Museum (for more about the Art Royalty, click here
The Festival is free and open to the public. Every year, SMA sees over 2,000 children and their families participate in the Children's Art Festival and we want this year to be bigger than ever! If you are interested in volunteering at the Festival, or have any questions, contact a member of the SMA Education Department at (801) 489-2727.
