After over 10 years leading the Museum, our beloved Director, Dr. Rita R. Wright, will be retiring at the end of the year to spend more time with her family. During her tenure Rita lead the development and execution of over 130 juried and curated exhibitions, directed the acquisition of over 400 works of art for the Museum’s Permanent Collection, and worked with thousands of Utah artists, donors, collectors, volunteers, and supporters of the arts. She has been a tireless advocate for Utah artists, museum best practice, and the Springville Community. She will be so missed! Please join us to celebrate her achievements and contributions at a public retirement party Wednesday December 7th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Springville Museum of Art.
